1 of 8 Timberline Green High Country Special Convertible Mustangs manufactured in 1967, with a 4 speed manual transmission, 1 of 1 with Rocker Panel Mouldings and Black Decor Bucket Seats - this car is a very rare find.
This stunning example of an iconic American performance car features a robust 390 cubic-inch S-Code V8 engine (6.39 litres), originally generating around 329 horsepower, driving the rear wheels.
Every component of this vehicle is matching numbers, from the diff to the transmission, engine, and body is matching from original. Imported into New Zealand approximately 20 years ago, it has been meticulously maintained by a single owner since then.
Included is all original documentation from the production date of June 29, 1967 (One day ahead of Schedule), along with the original owner's handbook. A folder of paperwork contains the original warranty, full service history, and records of all work performed on the car to date.
This Mustang was proudly displayed at the Volo Car Museum in Illinois, complete with photograph and its original display badge.

One of the very first of what would turn out to be many special edition Mustangs, the High Country, was first produced in 1966 through to 1968 and available only, as the name would imply, from dealers in the Colorado area. The 1967 High Country Special was available in fastback, convertible, and coupe. They came in the choice of three exclusive colours, Aspen Gold, Columbine Blue and Timberline Green.
Brass badges, mounted on the front fenders, spells out High Country Special and the model year, 67.
