Genuine '71 'Cuda, 440 Big Block

This 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda was originally imported from the United States as a matching numbers big block 383ci car. The current owner purchased the vehicle as a shell out of Wellington in 2010, brought it back to Auckland, and immediately started a ground-up rotisserie rebuild.
No reproduction parts were used in the restoration; a 440CI engine was sourced and underwent restoration at West Auckland Engine Reconditioners, which included a stroker kit, alloy Edelbrock heads, and a Holley 760 street carburettor.
The original transmission was retained and fitted with a 2500 RPM torque converter, and the original diff and brakes were also retained. This 'Cuda was originally an EB5 Blue vehicle but was professionally painted in an FK5 Deep Burnt Orange Metallic when it was restored; the underside of the car was also colour-coded in the same colour, and no underseal has been applied to this vehicle.
This '71 'Cuda was also fitted with new fuel lines, stainless steel brake lines, a new vinyl roof, interior, and carpets; all other original parts were reconditioned and refitted. All the work on this vehicle, apart from the upholstery, paint, and engine work, was carried out by the current owner, who is a seasoned mechanic by trade. No stone has been left unturned in this restoration, and everything has been done to the highest standard.
Being a '71 'Cuda, which is considered one of the most sought after of the 'Cuda family, this vehicle is quite rare and is in amazing condition. A lot of time and care has been taken to keep this car as original as possible, with the exception of the engine, which is dressed in 383ci trim to give an OEM look without compromising performance.
