Original 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 A True American Muscle Legend - True and unmolested

Prepare for an automotive experience like no other with this rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, an exceptional vehicle steeped in history and performance excellence. Imported from the USA in 2015, this iconic car has been meticulously preserved and is now available for sale in New Zealand

Museum Quality: This Camaro Z/28 was proudly displayed in a prestigious USA museum before its import. It was also featured in the high-profile photoshoot for the relaunch of the GM Chevrolet Camaro in 2000, making it a true piece of automotive history. Included are copies of the brochure and original photos from this exclusive event.

Historical Authenticity: The vehicle boasts the late-style trim tag, which was phased in during late November 1968. The tag and rivets appear original, with the late-style tag transitioning codes post-assembly date, confirming its authenticity.

Original Engine & Transmission:
The matching-numbers 302 engine, with block casting date September 19th, 1968, and engine assembly code V1013 DZ, was produced by the Flint V8 engine plant.
The Muncie close-ratio 4-speed transmission is correctly coded for 1969, with the VIN stamped in the common location on the case, indicating its unmolested and period-correct.

Performance Specs:
The 12-bolt differential features a J3B axle housing code (October 3rd, 1968) and an axle stamp (BVII05G2) denoting a 4.10:1 ratio with positraction.
The driveshaft is equipped with offset yokes, common in high-performance applications to prevent drive line vibration.
A single 3/8 fuel line, standard for high-horsepower setups, supports its performance pedigree.

Distinctive Features:
Hugger Orange paint code 7272 and black standard interior code 711.
Correct fast ratio steering with 8 spindle arms and 5 3/4 pitman arm.
Brake lines, cables, and 4-leaf springs consistent with the Z/28 package.
Reinforced left rear frame rail for dual exhaust, correct 3-core Harrison radiator, and factory-installed power brake system with correct 9204 booster.

Rare Opportunity: This Camaro Z/28 is a once-in-a-lifetime find in New Zealand, embodying the classic American muscle car spirit with documented history and all the right components in place.

Dont miss your chance to own this historic, high-performance vehicle. Whether you're an avid collector or a driving enthusiast, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 represents a rare and invaluable addition to any collection.
