What fees are there?
We charge a success fee when sold which you can choose from an agreed sale price or a % of the sale. As a percentage we usually charge 8-10% plus GST, this depends on the type of vehicle and sale price. Any reconditioning costs will be agreed with you prior to commencement and will be deducted from the sale price. We also have varying options of marketing packages to choose from.
What if I still owe money on my car?
This is fine, we will require a settlement emailed to us from the finance company, we will pay this directly to settle the finance when vehicle is sold and pay you the difference.
Is my vehicle safe and secure?
Yes we are an extremely secure facility, our security include monitored alarm, monitored cameras, security patrols throughout the night, we also have a staff apartment onsite with a live in staff member. Test drives of the vehicle will only be to qualified customers and staff will be accompanying all test drives. We also offer restricted levels or no test drives until purchase for you to decide. We do require you keep full insurance cover on your vehicle until sold and payment has been made.
What if I live outside of Auckland?
We have been successfully selling and marketing vehicles from all over the country. We can arrange transport of your vehicle quickly and safely on a fully enclosed transporter.
Will I be liable for the vehicle once sold?
No, as a RMVT dealer we are responsible for the vehicle sale and abiding by the consumers guarantee act. We only want quality vehicles however and require you to advise us of any issues the vehicle may have prior to us providing the consignment service. All vehicles will go through a quality assurance assessment before we send to market.
How do I know I’m getting good value?
We sell vehicles at a fair retail price in the market. Buyers have confidence in our product as we are a trusted brand that only sell top quality vehicles. We also provide the best vehicle buying experience and have industry leading marketing. After our success fee we expect you to receive much more in your pocket than a trade in valuation or selling privately. And of course with zero hassles!
How does the Keep driving option work?
If you still love driving your vehicle we can sell it for you while you keep driving it. We will Pick up, Valet, Photo and Market your vehicle then drop it back to you. Once we have serious qualified buyers for your vehicle we will then make a time to come to your home to work and leave you with a sporty courtesy vehicle while we demo your vehicle to potential clients.
Do you cater to businesses?
Yes we also sell fleet vehicles, whether your company has 1 or 100 vehicles they need to gain value for we can facilitate from your premises or ours.
